Many of us are often faced with an affliction, an emptiness inside our heart. Like there is a hole that cannot seem to be filled. So we spend our lives searching for things to make us feel complete. Only ti realize that the hole is an abyss consuming everything.

Compliments, relationships, connections, and wealth are not enough to fill that emptiness. And so you keep waiting and searching, not knowing that the remedy for your lost sense of self-worth isn’t some foreign place, or thing, but something much closer. That something is a someone and that someone is you.

You’ve been whole all along. There has never been anything missing. Nothing except for your acceptance of who you are. Because when you accept your flaws and celebrate your imperfections, who you are becomes enough.

When you allow yourself to be exactly who you
are. You will find the inner-peace you’ve been searching for. And regardless of what others think, you aren’t broken. You don’t need to be fixed or changed or cured. What you need is to accept yourself. To recognize your innate beauty and worth. To reclaim who you are and revel in it.

You don’t have to be what other people want you to be. You don’t have to be interesting or agreeable or entertaining. You don’t have to tone yourself down, quiet your voice, or hide your feelings. You don’t have to be outgoing or spontaneous or sociable. You don’t have to be thin or beautiful or anyone’s definition of attractive.

You don’t have to be anyone other than who you authentically are, and you don’t have to spend your time and energy trying to convince people that you’re worth keeping around. The right people are going to recognize your worth. They are going to respect you, appreciate you, and accept you, without forcing you to compromise who you are. Life is too short, and your happiness is far too important, to make room for anyone who treats you otherwise.

So today allow yourself to be yourself.
