How To Stay Strong When Your World Is Falling Apart

Some of the difficult moments in life is giving someone a hug when you need it the most. Fighting back the tears in your eyes to wipe off someone else’s tears. Listening to somebody’s grief when you want your pain to be heard. Being the reason for someone’s smile when your own smile is lost. To bless someone else while you are going through your own storm. To be the strong one, you know?

In our life we find ourselves in the middle of raging storm, tearing apart all that we hold dear and believe in. here are few things to help you find your way.

Accept the reality.

You cannot find peace by avoiding life, take every change and experience that life spins your way as a challenge for growth. Finding peace and happiness in life means to be in the midst of chaos while remaining calm in your heart.  It’s about accepting things as they are.

Give yourself the extra attention and time to heal.

Give yourself time to heal, accept, and to grow. Time doesn’t erase anything, but it can provide you with enough space to be able to breathe again. And then one day you wake up and your heart has a little bit of sunshine in it. Allow yourself to be where you are at, to feel what you are feeling, and to experience everything. And during this process, look and listen for that glimmer of hope. Because one of the most beautiful things about humans is their capacity to heal, grow, and survive. Face it. That is how you get through

Remember that everything in life is temporary.

No circumstance no matter how good or bad lasts forever. If things are bad, don’t worry because it won’t last forever either.  Just because life isn’t easy at the moment, doesn’t mean you can’t laugh. Every moment gives you a new beginning and a new ending.  You get a second chance, every second.  You just have to take it and make the best of it.

Remember other people’s criticism and negativity is not your problem.

Be positive when negativity surrounds you.  Smile when others try to bring you down or criticizes you every action. Remember as Roosevelt once said “It is not the critic who counts; not the man who points out how the strong man stumbled or where the doer of deeds could have done them better. The credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena, whose face is marred by dust and sweat and blood; who strives valiantly; who errs and comes short again and again; who knows great enthusiasms, the great devotions; who spends himself in a worthy cause; who at the best, knows in the end the triumph of high achievement, and who, at the worst, if he fails, at least fails while DARING GREATLY so that his place shall never be with those timid souls who know neither victory or defeat.”

People are going to talk regardless of what you do or how well you do it.  So worry about yourself before you worry about what others think.

Don’t let your pain define you.

The truth is we all lose sometimes and that no single loss ever defines us.  Learn from your trials.  Grow wiser.  Press on. Learn the beauty of effort, patience and perseverance.  The most beautiful smiles are usually the ones that struggled through the tears.  Participate in life today, don’t just watching it pass you by.  Don’t let the few things that are out of your control interfere with the countless things you can control.

Embrace Positivity

Being positive is a strategy, not a response. Happiness is not the absence of problems, but the ability to deal with them. You are in charge of how you react to the people and events in your life.  You can either give negativity power over your life, or you can choose to be positive instead by focusing on the great things that are truly important.  Focus on your blessings more than your problems. Don’t wait for a reason to be positive be positive about your situation, about your possibilities, and about what you can do to move forward from here

Take one step at a time

Don’t build mountains in your mind or try to conquer the world all at once.  When you seek instant gratification you make life unnecessarily painful and frustrating. Small steps and little leaps, will get you where you want to be through thick and thin.

Learn to appreciate small things.

You may not have what you want, but you still have more than enough to appreciate right now. So don’t pray for the big miracles and forget to give thanks for the ordinary, simple, and yet not-so-small gifts in your life.  It may seem strange to feel thankful for those events in your life that appear to be ordinary, yet it’s precisely by being thankful that you can transform the ordinary into the extraordinary.

Stop Worrying and complaining.

Those who complain the most, accomplish the least. It’s not over if you’ve lost; it’s over when you do nothing but complain about it. Don’t let the shadows of the past darken your future. Complaining about yesterday won’t make tomorrow any brighter.  Take action instead.  Let what you’ve learned improve how you live.  Make a change and never look back.

Keep fighting all the way.

In life, patience is not about waiting; it’s the ability to keep a good attitude while working hard on your dreams, knowing that the work is worth it.  So if you’re going to try, put in the time and go all the way.  Otherwise, there’s no point in starting.  The struggle is not found on the path, it is the path.  And it’s worth it.  So if you’re going to try, go all the way.
