Live A Life Worth Remembering.

When you were born you were crying and everyone else was smiling. Live your life so at the end, your’re the one who is smiling and everyone else is crying ~ Ralph Waldo Emerson

Living a meaningful life doesn’t happen by accident, it’s not a matter of circumstances, but of choice. To make the right choice we must ask our self perhaps the most important questions of all: What matters Most? Is it Money, Happiness, Love, fame or even power?

Life is short and fragile; everything we hold dear can be gone in an instant. Eventually it will end, whether we like or not. All the things will pass. Our wealth, fame and power will wither to irrelevance. It will not matter what we owned or owed. Our grudges, resentments, and frustrations will finally disappear. Our hopes, desires and plans will expire. The triumphs and defeats, that once seemed so significant, will fade away. It won’t matter where we hail from or where we lived at the end. It won’t matter if we are beautiful or brilliant, Even our gender and tribe will be irrelevant.

So what will matters? How will the value of our days under the sun be measured? What will we leave behind when we go?

It’s not what we bought, what we got, or our achievements that will matter. It won’t even matter what we learned but what you taught, for what will we have benefited humanity if we carry all our knowledge to our grave? It will be as if we never existed at all.

What will matter is every act of integrity, compassion, kindness, courage or sacrifice that enriched, empowered or encouraged others. What will matter is how long we will be remembered, by whom and for what.

Remember A life well lived is not made of circumstance but choices. Choose to touch other people heart, show kindness to a stranger. Forgive others and pass less judgment. Offer your best in everything you do. Tell your loved one how you feel about them now and then. Forgive others, don’t let the sun go down while angry, grudges way down your soul and keeps you from your true potential. Lastly develop your own philosophy and live it, make your days on earth mean something. Let your name echo through time.
